Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can chickpeas
  • 1 small clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. sesame tahini paste
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • sprigs of parsley

Instructions

  1. Open, drain, and rinse canned chickpeas.
  2. Mash the chickpeas in a food processor or blender.
  3. Add mashed garlic, salt, and tahini paste; blend until smooth.
  4. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  5. If the mixture is too thick to spread, add 1 tablespoon of water and blend again.
  6. Serve the hummus in a flat dish, garnished with parsley if desired.
