Ingredients

  • 8 cups peeled, quartered potatoes
  • 1/2 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
  • 1 package Philadelphia brand cream cheese, softened (8 oz.)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Paprika

Instructions

  1. Add peeled, quartered potatoes and enough water to cover them in a 4-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes well.
  4. Mash the potatoes, gradually stirring in Miracle Whip salad dressing, softened cream cheese, onion powder, salt, and pepper until light and fluffy.
  5. Spoon the mashed potatoes into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
  6. Sprinkle with paprika.
  7. Cover tightly and freeze the casserole if not serving immediately.
  8. To serve, thaw the casserole.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 1/4 hours or until thoroughly heated.
