Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Cook potatoes until tender.
  2. Drain the potatoes.
  3. Mash potatoes and mix in sour cream, softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon butter, onion salt, and pepper.
  4. Gradually beat in enough milk to make potatoes fluffy and light.
  5. Turn the mashed potatoes into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  6. Cover with foil and chill up to 24 hours.
  7. To serve, dot with remaining 1 tablespoon butter.
  8. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 45 minutes or until heated through.
