- Spread mayonnaise on each slice of bread, then spread mustard over the mayonnaise. Top with a slice of baked ham.
- Core the apples without peeling them.
- Slice the apples crosswise into about 1/8-inch thick slices to make 18 slices.
- Place 3 apple slices on each piece of bread.
- Top each with 2 slices of Cheddar cheese.
- Place the prepared sandwiches on a broiler pan and broil until the cheese melts and browns slightly.
- Serve the sandwiches immediately.
