A savory meat and cheese pie featuring salami and melted mozzarella, encased in flaky crescent rolls, perfect as an appetizer for gatherings and casual entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 egg
  • 4 oz. Genoa salami, diced
  • 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Line a pie plate with 3 squares of crescent roll dough.
  2. Save the remaining square for strips to top the pie.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the egg and mix with salami, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated cheese, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the meat mixture into the prepared pie shell.
  5. Cut the remaining crescent roll square into strips and lace them over the top of the pie.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and enjoy.
