Ingredients

  • 1 double crust pie shell
  • 1 lb ground round
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • dash of pepper
  • dash of allspice
  • 12 oz frozen hash browns

Instructions

  1. Line a 9-inch pie plate with the double crust pie shell.
  2. Combine and mix gently all ingredients except the frozen hash browns and potatoes.
  3. Lightly pat the meat mixture into the pastry-lined pie plate.
  4. Top the meat mixture with the frozen hash browns.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Seal the top crust and split to allow steam escape.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  8. Serve hot with ketchup.
