Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. chopped meat
  • 7 to 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 shakes black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 pinches sweet basil
  • 5 to 6 eggs
  • approximately 5 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 c. unflavored bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 c. grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients well in a large bowl.
  2. Roll the mixture into small meatballs.
  3. Heat a wedge of lard or some Crisco in a frying pan until melted.
  4. Add the meatballs to the pan, brown them on all sides, then remove from heat.
