Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup creamed cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound ground round
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Bisquick mix
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Grease a square baking dish.
  2. Layer cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese in the dish.
  3. Mix cooked ground beef, oregano, basil, tomato paste, and 1/2 cup of shredded Mozzarella; spoon evenly over the cheese layers.
  4. Beat milk, eggs, Bisquick, salt, and pepper with a wire whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture into the dish over the layered ingredients.
  6. Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with remaining shredded Mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
