Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in a large bowl in the microwave for less than 1 minute.
  2. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and cocoa.
  4. Add the plain flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Stir until all ingredients are blended.
  6. Spread the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with oil.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes or until brownies pull away from the side of the pan.
  8. Do not overbake.
