Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. ground red pepper
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown meat, onion, and green pepper in a skillet.
  2. Drain the mixture.
  3. Add remaining ingredients except cheese.
  4. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch buttered casserole dish.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes at 400°.
  7. Top with cheese and return to oven until melted.
