Ingredients

  • 16 oz. hot roll mix
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 cup butter, divided
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 drops red food coloring
  • 1 orange peel, grated

Instructions

  1. Ensure hot roll mix includes yeast packet.
  2. In a bowl, mix the yeast with the roll mix.
  3. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla extract.
  4. Prepare the dough according to the package instructions.
  5. Divide the dough into equal pieces.
  6. Pat each piece into a 2 1/2-inch round disc.
  7. Place the dough rounds on a baking sheet.
  8. Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
