Ingredients

  • 14 oz. package of caramels
  • 2 Tbsp. evaporated milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup pecan halves
  • 6 oz. package of semi-sweet or milk chocolate morsels

Instructions

  1. Place caramels, evaporated milk, and butter in a 1-quart microwave-safe measuring cup.
  2. Heat in microwave on Medium-high for 4 to 5 minutes or until melted, stirring occasionally.
  3. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray.
  4. Arrange pecan halves in groups of three on the prepared sheet.
  5. Spoon 1 tablespoon of melted caramel over each group of pecans to cover.
  6. Refrigerate, uncovered, for 30 minutes to set.
  7. Place chocolate morsels in a 2-quart microwave-safe measuring cup.
  8. Microwave on Medium-high for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes until melted and smooth.
  9. Spoon melted chocolate over the caramel-covered pecans.
  10. Allow to cool completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
  11. Refrigerate in a covered container until ready to serve.
