- Rub in the butter or margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

- Roll out the dough thinly and line a baking dish or casserole with half of it.
- Thinly slice the apples and mix with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a few drops of lemon juice.
