Ingredients

  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup catsup
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix salad oil, sugar, catsup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator for at least several hours, preferably a day or so, to allow flavors to meld.
  3. Use as a dressing for fresh spinach or other greens. Keep refrigerated; the dressing will keep for several weeks.
