Ingredients

  • 1 Duncan Hines moist yellow cake mix
  • 1 can cherry or apple pie filling
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup crushed walnuts
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the box.
  2. Pour half of the batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  3. Add the cherry or apple pie filling over the batter.
  4. Pour the remaining batter over the filling.
  5. Mix the sugar, crushed walnuts, and cinnamon together.
  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar-nut mixture over the top of the cake.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
