Moist Date Nut Bread

Instructions
- Place dates and baking soda in a large bowl.
- Pour boiling water over.
- Let stand until cool.
- Sift flour with salt and baking powder; set aside.
- Cream the eggs, brown sugar and vanilla.
- Add alternately, with flour, to date mixture.
- Add nuts. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Makes 2 loaves.
