Mommom’S Broccoli Bake

- 1. Preheat oven to 350F.
- 2. Steam the broccoli in 3/4 c. water, or in the bag if you are fortunate enough to have one of those handy microwaveable bags.
- Of course, fresh broccoli is just fine for this recipe, but I tend to make it more in the wintertime, thus the frozen packages.
- 3. Prepare the stuffing mix according to package directions.
- 4. Whisk the flour and butter together over medium heat until bubbly. Pour in milk and continue to whisk until slightly thickened. Add cheese and stir until melted.
- 5. Layer the ingredients in a 9x13 as follows: broccoli, sauce, stuffing.
- 6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Definitely a comfort food. Types of vegetables and cheese may be altered to suit your tastes.
