Ingredients

  • 5 c. cooked chopped onions
  • 5 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 6 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • dry breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Combine onions, 4 cups cheese, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper and butter.
  3. Pour into a 2-quart casserole.
  4. Top with remaining 1 cup cheese and crumbs.
  5. Bake 30 minutes.
  6. Especially good with grilled meats.
  7. Serves 6 to 8.
