Monte Cristo Grinder
Ingredients
- 1/4 lb ham (thinly sliced) ⓘ
- 1/4 lb turkey, smoked (thinly sliced) ⓘ
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into rings ⓘ
- 1 minced garlic clove ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons olive oil ⓘ
- 1 medium maui onion (minced) ⓘ
- 1 tomatoes, thinly sliced ⓘ
- 1 loaf French bread, split lengthwise
- 4 ounces swiss cheese (thinly sliced) ⓘ
- 1 -2 dried oregano leaves ⓘ
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- In skillet, over medium-high heat, saute bell peppers and onions and garlic in oil until bell pepper is crisp-tender.
- Remove bell pepper and onion from skillet, reserving oil mixture.
- Layer the ham, smoked turkey, tomato, bell pepper and onion on the bottom half of French bread.
- Drizzle the oil mixture over the top.
- Sprinkle with oregano.
- Top with cheese and remaining half of bread.
- Wrap loaf in foil.
- Bake 25 minutes or until cheese is melted.
