Ingredients

  • 2 cans pork and beans
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or whiskey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar or molasses

Instructions

  1. Fry the diced onion in bacon grease until translucent; drain well.
  2. Mix the pork and beans, fried onion, cooked bacon, apple juice or whiskey, and brown sugar or molasses in a bowl.
  3. Pour the mixture into a buttered baking dish.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 20 to 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  5. Serve hot or cold.
