  1. Place croutons in a 9 x 13-inch dish.
  2. Spread cheddar cheese on top of the croutons.
  3. Beat together sausage, eggs, mustard, and 2 1/2 cups of milk.
  4. Pour the beaten mixture into the dish with croutons and cheese.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Mix mushroom soup with the remaining milk.
  7. Pour the mushroom soup mixture over the casserole in the morning.
  8. Bake at 300°F until it bubbles.
