Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1/2 lb powdered sugar
  • 1/2 lb vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and powdered sugar together.
  2. Add well beaten egg yolks to the creamed mixture.
  3. Stir in crushed pineapple and chopped nuts.
  4. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  5. Crush vanilla wafers and place half on the bottom of the pan.
  6. Add the filling mixture over the wafers.
  7. Place the remaining wafers on top of the filling.
  8. Refrigerate the cake overnight before serving.
