Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3/4 c. uncooked instant rice
  • 1 can corn, undrained
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and sliced onion in a skillet; drain the fat.
  2. Add uncooked instant rice, undrained corn, tomato sauce, water, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a casserole dish.
  4. Lay strips of bacon across the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
