Ingredients

  • 1 lb. link pork sausage, cut in thirds
  • 6 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Alternate layers of bread, sausage, and cheese in a buttered 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  2. Beat eggs; add salt and milk.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the layered casserole.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Before baking, sprinkle additional cheese on top.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 45 minutes.
