- Separate the eggs into yolks and whites.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff.
- Cream together the butter, sugar, and egg yolks.
- Add the beaten egg whites to the butter-sugar mixture.
- Add the flour and vanilla to the mixture.
- Lightly flour the nuts, fruit, and raisins with 1/2 to 1 cup of flour.
- Fold the floured fruit, nuts, and raisins into the main mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased Bundt pan.
- Place the pan over a pan of water while baking.
- Cover the top with a brown paper bag.
- Bake at 250°F (120°C) for 4 hours.
- Use a tester to check if the cake is done.
