Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 c. julienned green peppers
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet.
  2. Cut beef into thin strips and brown in butter.
  3. Sprinkle beef with garlic powder and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned.
  4. Add chopped onion and julienned green peppers to the skillet.
  5. Cook for 2 minutes or until vegetables are tender but not brown.
  6. Add canned tomatoes and beef bouillon cube to the skillet.
  7. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until beef and vegetables are tender.
