Ingredients

  • 1 (No. 2 1/2) can Italian tomatoes
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste (rinse paste cans each 2 times with water)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 lb. lasagne, cooked and drained

Instructions

  1. Combine first 7 ingredients in saucepan.
  2. Brown onion and garlic in the oil.
  3. Add the hamburger and the salt and pepper; brown and add to sauce.
  4. Simmer 2 1/2 hours.
  5. Layer in long pan: 1/3 sauce, 1/2 lasagne, 1/2 Ricotta, 1/2 Mozzarella and 1/3 Parmesan.
  6. Repeat with sauce and Parmesan on top.
  7. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
  8. Let set 15 minutes.
