Ingredients

  • 1/2 pint cream
  • 1/4 cup additional milk, half and half or cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups self-rising sifted cake flour

Instructions

  1. With an electric mixer, beat eggs until foamy.
  2. Add sugar and vanilla, and continue to beat for 2 minutes.
  3. Blend in cream and the additional milk, half and half, or cream by hand.
  4. Add flour and continue to mix by hand slowly until well blended.
  5. Beat for 1/2 minute with electric mixer on low speed.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured loaf pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes.
