Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Scald milk with margarine, sugar, and salt.
  2. Let the milk mixture cool to room temperature, then add yeast.
  3. Beat eggs and add to the milk mixture.
  4. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough, approximately 6 to 8 cups.
  5. Let the dough rise in a bowl until light, about 1 to 2 hours.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured board and spread with melted margarine, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  7. Roll up the dough and slice into approximately 1/2-inch thick slices.
  8. Place the slices on a greased cookie sheet or large baking pan and let rise until doubled, about 30 to 45 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  10. Frost the warm rolls with powdered sugar frosting or sugar glaze.
