- Melt butter or margarine over low heat.
- Add chopped dates and beaten eggs; cook for 12 to 15 minutes over low heat.
- Add sugar and cook for an additional 12 to 15 minutes.

- Allow mixture to cool until manageable.
- Form small balls from the mixture and roll in coconut.
