Ingredients

  • 1 chicken
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped with leaves
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Place chicken, parsley flakes, celery, onion, salt, and pepper in a pan and boil until the chicken is done.
  2. Cool the chicken and debone it.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and milk in a mixing bowl.
  4. Stir until the mixture is moistened.
  5. Drop the batter by tablespoonfuls into boiling broth.
  6. Cover tightly and reduce heat.
  7. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes without peeking.
