A crisp, flavorful no-toss salad layered with fresh vegetables, mayonnaise, and bacon, perfect for casual gatherings and easy to prepare ahead of time.

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 small can peas, drained
  • 1 pint mayonnaise
  • garlic salt
  • crisp bacon, crumbled or bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Layer chopped lettuce, chopped celery, chopped green pepper, chopped onion, and drained peas in a 9 x 13-inch serving dish in that order.
  2. Sprinkle with garlic salt and spread mayonnaise evenly over the top.
  3. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and chill for 4 to 6 hours.
  4. Before serving, sprinkle additional crumbled bacon or bacon bits on top.
  5. Add grated hard-boiled eggs before serving.
