Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced cactus
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1/2 pound ground chuck
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium diced tomato
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil cactus in salted water for 10 minutes and drain.
  2. Saute ground meat in a skillet until browned.
  3. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, diced tomato, salt, cumin, and oregano to the skillet.
  4. Simmer the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with black beans and tortillas.
