Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped salted peanuts or pecans, toasted
  • sifted powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream the softened butter or margarine, granulated sugar, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon of water until smooth.
  2. Stir in the all-purpose flour and toasted salted nuts; mix well to combine.
  3. Shape the dough into crescent shapes.
  4. Place the shaped cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Cool the cookies on a rack.
  7. Roll the cooled crescents in sifted powdered sugar before serving.
