- Wash and core the apples without peeling.
- In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, water, and butter.
- Heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- In a bowl, thoroughly mix Pecan Meal, brown sugar, cinnamon, and egg to make the filling.
- Place the apples in a baking dish and spoon the filling into each apple until two-thirds full.
- Pour the syrup over the filled apples until the cavities are filled.
- Pour 1/2 cup water around the apples in the baking dish.
- Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
