A versatile, crunchy oat crust perfect for pies, cheesecakes, or fruit crisps, offering a wholesome nutty flavor and satisfying texture for various dessert favorites.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. rolled oats
  • 1/4 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. melted butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together well.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a pie pan.
  3. Add filling and bake, or for an unbaked crust, bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Cool slightly before adding filling.
  5. For cheesecake, press the crust into the bottom of a springform pan.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes.
  7. Cool, then add filling.
