Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. peanut butter
  • 3 c. quick oats

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, milk, margarine, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a full boil for one minute, stirring constantly.
  2. Remove from heat and add vanilla and peanut butter; stir until smooth.
  3. Add quick oats and mix well.
  4. Cool slightly until the mixture holds shape when dropped.
  5. Drop by tablespoons onto wax paper or use a teaspoon for dipping, then push off with a second teaspoon.
  6. Allow to cool completely, then store in a tightly covered container.
