Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup dark Karo syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups Special K cereal
  • 6 ounces butterscotch tidbits
  • 6 ounces chocolate tidbits

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar and dark Karo syrup in a saucepan, stirring constantly, until just boiling. Remove from heat.
  2. Add peanut butter to the sugar mixture and stir until dissolved.
  3. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the cereal and mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
  5. In a separate saucepan, melt butterscotch tidbits and chocolate tidbits over low heat.
  6. Pour the melted butterscotch and chocolate mixture over the cereal layer.
  7. Spread evenly and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before cutting into bars.
