- Butter a 9 x 13 inch pan and set aside.
- In a large, heavy pan, mix cocoa, sugar, and salt.
- Stir in both milks (regular milk and additional milk).
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a full boil.
- Boil without stirring until the mixture reaches a soft ball stage (234°F on candy thermometer).
- Remove from heat, add vanilla and margarine, but do not stir.
- Allow the mixture to cool until lukewarm (about 110°F).
- Beat with a wooden spoon until the fudge thickens.
- Quickly spread the fudge into the buttered pan.
- Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares.
