Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground chuck
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • celery
  • 2 large cans tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Crumble the ground chuck into a large pot.
  2. Cover with water, then add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cook on high heat until the meat starts to brown.
  4. Chop the onion and celery.
  5. Skim off excess grease from the meat mixture.
  6. Add the tomato sauce to the pot, rinse the cans with water and pour that in as well.
  7. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  8. Add homemade noodles to the boiling soup.
  9. Cook just until the noodles are tender.
  10. Adjust the thickness by adding more broth, sauce, or water if desired.
  11. Serve hot, preferably with garlic bread and cole slaw.
