Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 5 qt. popped corn

Instructions

  1. Butter the sides of a saucepan.
  2. In the saucepan, combine sugar, water, salt, corn syrup, and vinegar.
  3. Cook the mixture until it reaches the hard ball stage.
  4. Stir in vanilla and slowly pour the mixture over the popped corn, stirring just to mix well.
  5. Butter your hands and shape the mixture into balls.
