Ingredients

  • 2 pie shells
  • 2 cans French fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Stretch two pie shells to cover the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  3. Crush the French fried onions with a rolling pin.
  4. Sprinkle some of the crushed onions over the pie shells (reserve some for topping).
  5. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the onions.
  6. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt, seasoned salt, and pepper together.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the onions and cheese in the pie shell.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved crushed onions and cheese on top.
  9. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, or at 350°F for 25 minutes if preferred.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  11. Cut into squares to serve.
