Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except the egg whites together in a bowl.
  2. Beat the egg whites until stiff and gently fold them into the raisin mixture.
  3. Pour the filling into an uncooked pie crust.
  4. Bake slowly at 275°F (135°C) until a well-formed crust is on top and the pie is well browned.
