Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines orange cake mix
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange jello
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine the cake mix, orange jello, water, oil, and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Beat on low speed of mixer for 2 minutes to blend all ingredients.
  3. Increase to high speed and beat for 3 minutes longer.
  4. Pour the batter into two greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cakes completely, then slice horizontally to make four layers.
  7. Spread filling between the layers.
  8. Frost the cake as directed in the filling recipe.
  9. Refrigerate the cake for 24 hours before serving.
