Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cups Cool Whip
  • 1 (6 oz.) package orange Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 pint orange sherbet

Instructions

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and margarine until mixture is well blended.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8 minutes, then remove and let cool.
  4. Dissolve the orange jello in 1 cup boiling water, then add 1 cup cold water and stir well.
  5. Pour the jello mixture over the cooled crust and refrigerate until partially set.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar until smooth.
  7. Fold in the Cool Whip and orange sherbet into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Spread the cream mixture over the jello layer.
  9. Refrigerate until firm before serving.
