Orange Pork Ragout
Ingredients
- 1 lb pork loin, cubed ⓘ
- 1 cup chicken broth ⓘ
- 1 cup orange juice ⓘ
- 1 cup sliced onion ⓘ
- 1 cup red bell pepper ⓘ
- 1 cup green bell pepper ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons sugar ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme ⓘ
- 12 teaspoon ground cloves ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch ⓘ
- 14 cup cold water ⓘ
- salt and pepper ⓘ
- 3 cups cooked rice, kept warm ⓘ
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except cornstarch, water, salt, pepper and rice in a slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Turn heat to high and cook 10 minutes.
- Combine cornstarch and water.
- Stir into stew.
- 2-3 more minutes.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve over rice.
