Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cut-up candy orange slices
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. Add the eggs, vanilla, salt, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, chopped nuts, and cut-up candy orange slices to the melted butter.
  4. Stir the mixture well until combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
