Ingredients

  • 1 lb. candy orange slices
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb. light brown sugar
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cut orange slices with scissors dipped in water and add to flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Toss lightly to coat.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes.
  6. Cut into bars or squares and roll in granulated sugar.
