Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cubed beef round steak
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 tsp. dried, crushed basil
  • 2 Tbsp. instant beef bouillon granules
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen Chinese style vegetables
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms

Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven, combine beef, onion, celery, basil, bouillon, soy sauce, and 8 cups water.
  2. Bring the mixture to boiling.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Add frozen vegetables and mushrooms to the soup.
  5. Return the mixture to boiling.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
