Crispy, savory egg rolls filled with seasoned ground beef, vegetables, and water chestnuts, perfect as an appetizer or party snack for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. string beans (French-cut)
  • 1 lb. Chinese cabbage, finely chopped
  • 4 medium carrots, grated
  • 1 can water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Drain the grease from the beef.
  3. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add onions and cook until transparent.
  4. Add grated carrots and green beans to the meat mixture and season with salt, pepper, and MSG to taste.
  5. Stir in chopped Chinese cabbage and water chestnuts.
  6. Stir-fry the mixture until cooked through, then add chopped green onions.
  7. Drain the cooked mixture in a colander and let it cool before filling egg roll wrappers.
